Overall, Cleric is Faye's best class as early-game healing utility and combos able to be performed by her and Silque are strong enough to ignore the tedious process of training her up. Faye will learn her best spell in act 3 or 4 and will also get Seraphim, a much better offensive spell. The player could give her speed from the speed fountain in the Thief Shrine, but speed is a highly contested stat and is arguably better used on other units, most notably Silque as her spell list is better than Faye's and as such is a higher priority target for early-game investment. Cleric Faye does have her weaknesses, she will be hard to train up due to her only offensive spell at base being Nosferatu, a spell that always has 60% hit, making training up Faye unreliable. The hefty cost of 24 HP may be steep in certain situations, but the ability to give an ally unit an additional action is very powerful if used cleverly. Her most notable unique spell is Anew, essentially letting her assume a Dancer-esque role, though she learns the skill relatively late in the game. She also supports Silque and will be able to perform healing loops with her due to healing taking away HP in Shadows of Valentia. Her Rescue spell can be used with Silque's Warp for very useful hit-and-run strategies by allowing units to be warped far away to attack a dangerous foe then rescued back into safe terrain. Still, her contributions in act 1 are fairly notable, not to mention her very rare spell Freeze, making an enemy unit locked in place.įaye makes for an amazing Cleric, as she gets early access to Physic, and later grabs Rescue and Anew for more utility. Faye will drop off in act 3 as her 4 movement will become detrimental as well as her poor durability and will need to use the mage ring or get warped by Silque to see any combat. Due to most enemies having poor resistance she will also deal good chip damage in order for your other units to finish the enemy off. Her performance in act 1 will be fairly mediocre, but she will be able to perform well in act 3 due to access to the Ridersbane, but will face competition from Mathilda and Clive in using it, not to mention Zeke and Mycen joining as well.Īs a mage, Faye will get a significant boost in speed and with a single level or speed well from the Thief Shrine, Faye will be able to double soldiers in act 1. She will perform better in the Cavalier class due to getting additional bulk, not being weak to arrows and still keeping the high movement. However, flying utility isn't particularly useful on Alm's route as there is lack of terrain to fly over. She comes with well balanced growth rates making it hard to pick a specific class for her as she doesn't specialize in any particular area.įaye if promoted to Pegasus Knight will function similarly to Clair, being fairly frail, but getting a notable increase in speed. She is the weakest villager along with Kliff and will need two levels to be able to promote. This character analysis section may not be accurate to every player's experience.įaye is one of the 4 villagers you get in act 1, but she is the only female villager and as such is the only one that has access to female villager classes, those being Pegasus Knight and Cleric. Her Base Conversations are written with her being in Alm's party in mind. She does not have a major story role compared to Tobin or Gray. She also can become a cavalier or mage, class change options shared with male villager units, though she promotes from mage to priestess, while the male villager units will instead promote to sages if any of them become mages.įaye is initially playable in the game's prologue she is an optional character in the main part of the game and the player can opt to not recruit her to either Alm's or Celica's party. She did not exist in Fire Emblem Gaiden, and is a new character introduced in the remake.Īs a new female villager unit, she has access to other classes the male villager units do not these classes are pegasus knight and cleric. 1 Fire Emblem Echoes: Shadows of Valentiaįire Emblem Echoes: Shadows of Valentia Roleįaye is a villager that joins Alm at the start of his journey.
